Artlist – Center for Contemporary Arts Prague

Eva has been a regular contributor to the Artlist platform since 2020.
To date, she is the author of twelve texts, which can be seen here.






ARTLIST is 

  • a database charting the development of contemporary Czech art in its various manifestations (artists, galleries, concepts, exhibitions, etc.) from the latter half of the 20th century onwards, with an emphasis on the period following the events of 1989. The aim is to be a free source of information for both specialists and the general public on a local and international level (the database is being systematically created in both Czech and English).
  • a non-profit project run by the Foundation for Contemporary Arts Prague (www.fcca.cz), established in 2006.
  • a hand-picked database. The presence of entries is decided by a specialist panel comprising art theoreticians and historians represented by an editorial board. Artlist editorial board now are:
    • Marcel Fišer, art historian and director of Galerie výtvarného umění in Cheb (GAVU Cheb),
    • Johana Lomová, art historian and teacher at the Academy of Art, Architecture and Design in Prague (UMPRUM),
    • Martin Mikolášek, curator, founding member of Kunsthalle Ostrava, o.s. and director of the Secondary Art School (SUŠ) in Ostrava,
    • Terezie Nekvindová, art historian at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, AVU Research Centre (VVP AVU),
    • Tomáš Pospiszyl, art historian, curator and director of the Department of Art History and Theory at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague,
    • Jan Zálešák, curator and teacher at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Technology in Brno (FaVU VUT Brno).
